Those claims have not been independently replicated for this article and should not be read as a treatment promise. The defensible selection case is narrower: an exact, currently listed ceramide-focused cream from the named range, in the highest-priced bottle per 100 ml of this shortlist.

Best checked bottle value: Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

BelluBeauty’s exact listing was the 150 ml Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream at £18.49. It describes a thick, rich, fragrance-free cream with ceramide capsules and lists ceramide NP, glycerin, fatty acids, ginseng root extract and other components. On the checked prices, its cost per 100 ml was substantially below the two smaller tubes.

That makes Illiyoon the value-led candidate for dry skin or a person using moisturiser on a larger area. It does not prove that more product, visible capsules or one named ceramide delivers better results. Illiyoon also circulates in other sizes and renewed formulas, so match the 150 ml pack and current ingredient list rather than combining reviews of every version.

Smaller fragrance-free alternative: Etude SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream

The current 60 ml SoonJung listing describes a renewed formula with propanediol, sunflower seed oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil, cetearyl alcohol, panthenol and madecassoside. No parfum appears in the supplied ingredient list. At £14.36, its total bottle cost was lowest, but its price per 100 ml was higher than Illiyoon’s because the tube is much smaller.

This is the most relevant option for someone who wants the exact SoonJung formula in a compact tube rather than a large rich cream. The ingredient list cannot establish that it will sit better under make-up, feel lighter or be non-irritating for every person. Those outcomes depend on dose, other layers and individual skin.

What should dry skin look for in a finished formula?

Dry skin generally needs a product that reduces water loss and feels comfortable enough to use consistently. NHS guidance explains that emollients cover skin with a protective film to trap moisture. It also distinguishes thinner lotions, daytime creams and more occlusive ointments for very dry skin or night use. These three products are cosmetic creams, not prescription emollients, but the texture principle helps frame the choice.

Humectants such as glycerin or panthenol, emollient oils and barrier-lipid ingredients can be useful formula components. Their presence is not a guarantee.
